McConnell eyes 2014 date

Glasgow’s Lee McConnell, who gets married shortly and had intimated she would probably retire after competing in her third Olympic Games in London 2012, has now said that she may continue until Glasgow 2014.

“Glasgow is a huge 
attraction,” said the 33-year-old 400m runner.

“My experience of London with all that amazing support from the public makes it even more of an attraction I think – I loved every minute of London 2012 because the atmosphere was so good.”
