Athletics: Last call for 5k and 10k entry

Edinburgh Athletics club will accept entries up until  tomorrow for their annual Scottish Gas  5k and 10k Road Races on  Sunday.

Organiser Ian Cunningham said: “This is the same  day as the Olympic  marathon so competitors can have their own race on a  reasonably flat course with fast times possible then head home to cheer our club’s Freya  Murray in her London 2012 medal bid.

“There is a superb goody  bag for all finishers which includes a Brooks technical fabric T-shirt, Scottish Gas water  bottle and kit bag, as well as the usual banana and energy bar. Race entry fee includes a £1 donation to local charity CCLASP.”
