Glasgow 'immune' to market turmoil

GLASGOW has more firms immune to the downturn than anywhere else in Scotland, according to a study by ||WEBSTART||locallife.co.uk||WEBSTOP||
The city has a bailiff, debt collector, insolvency practitioner, pawnbroker or money lending business for every 23,120 local residents, the survey found.

Tony Martin, the website's chairman, said:

"Businesses such as insolvency practitioners and debt collectors are best placed to, not only survive, but prosper during the turmoil. It seems Glasgow has more than its fair share of these firms."
