EAGLE Couriers has bought out QED for a six-figure sum, ending 25 years of rivalry between the two firms.
The Edinburgh-based pair were both founded in Scotland in the 1980s and have since battled for business in the capital.

The firm, which boasts a client list including the BBC and BT, will also continue QED's contracts with clients such as the NHS and HBOS.
