Wood Group awarded contract
Oil services company Wood Group has been awarded a contract by western Australia's biggest oil and gas operator, the Aberdeen-based business revealed yesterday.
Wood Group has been awarded the services agreement, for which there is no disclosed value, by Woodside Energy for a "brownfield" (existing) project delivery for some of Woodside's onshore and offshore facilities.
The Scottish company will provide engineering services, from concept through to implementation for the Australian group. The contract initially lasts three years.
Les Thomas, board director at Wood Group, said the contracts endorsed the company's "strategic intent" for continued expansion in Australia.
