Wood wins Taqa contract
TAQA, Abu Dhabi's national energy company, has awarded a five-year contract to Wood Group to carry out maintenance in the northern North Sea.
Wood Group will also act as duty holder while Taqa awaits approval to become the official operator of the platforms. No value for the contract was given.
In July, Taqa announced it was buying the Tern, Eider, Cormorant, Kestrel and Pelican fields from Esso and Shell. It expects to complete the purchase before the end of the year.
