Wiseman milk inquiry ends

A 15-MONTH inquiry into allegations that Robert Wiseman Dairies had abused its position in the Scottish milk market has ended.

The East Kilbride-based firm said that it had spent 700,000 on legal and advisers’ fees since the Office of Fair Trading investigation began last May.

The OFT said yesterday that "after an extensive and thorough investigation...the view [is] that further investigation is unlikely to lead to a finding of abuse."
