'Unique' office sells for £600k
AN "architecturally unique" office building in Edinburgh has been sold for more than £600,000.
The Pyramid Building at Loanhead was sold to Survey Solutions Scotland Ltd, after Hills Plc, which originally built the property, decided it was surplus to its requirements.
The new owners have sold their current premises in Loanhead and will take occupation of the building in early 2009 to expand their business. The steel frame open-plan office pyramid will echo the company's pyramid style logo.
Marcus Weurman, of Knight Frank, Scotland, who handled the sale, said: "The sale of the Pyramid Building is a prime example that there is reasonable demand for commercial property, in particular the owner occupier market.
"We expect demand for quality office accommodation in Bilston Glen will continue."
