EasyJet taking off with revenue hike
BUDGET airline EasyJet has unveiled a near-17 per cent rise in first-quarter revenues to £763 million.
The company, whose board is entangled in a long-running row with founder Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, also posted an 8.1 per cent rise in passengers to 12.9 million. This was mainly due to favourable comparisons, after poor weather grounded flights last year, but also included a rise of 200,000 additional business passengers.
