PINNALCE Technology said yesterday that it had hired two new executive managers to support its strategy of widening the range of products it sells.
Communications veteran Simon Poole will be responsible for sales at the Stirlingshire-based firm, while Gary Black becomes head of “pre- and post-sales support”.
Chief executive Alan Bonner said the appointments broadened the group’s executive management team.
“Simon and Gary bring experience from large enterprise and technical delivery respectively, both areas of focus for ongoing development at Pinnacle.
“These and other forthcoming changes will support the group in the continued execution of the company’s stated growth strategy.”
Aim-quoted Pinnacle is best known for providing broadband and other data services at large events such as BBC Radio 1’s “big weekend” concerts and last year’s royal wedding.
However, the firm has been expanding into broader computer services and last year took over Fife-based MacLellan IT in a £1 million all-share deal.
Pinnacle said yesterday that it had begun cross-selling its expanded range to its customer base of 3,000 businesses across the UK.
The company said that its long list of clients “represents a significant platform for growth and our focus is on further cross-sales of our enlarged product suite into this base”.
The group raised £300,000 earlier this month from a share placing and said the money would be used to hire further sales staff.
