Optics firm gets Monaco backing
Envestors, a subsidiary of Braveheart Investment Group, has attracted funds from a number of Monaco-based private investors towards a £1.2 million package for medical devices firm Cipher Surgical.
Cipher, which presented at an event hosted by the Monaco Venture Capital Association, has pioneered an accessory that will help surgeons in laparoscopy (minimally invasive surgery through the abdomen) keep the optics clear. The funding will help launch the device in the UK.
Oliver Woolley, founder director of Envestors, said: “We have watched the progress made by the company. We are most encouraged to see that Cipher Surgical has agreed terms with a UK distributor.”
