HEROtsc targets 100 jobs as it opens new site

Call centre operator HEROtsc has vowed to recruit a further 100 staff over the next couple of months after cutting the ribbon on its seventh Scottish site.

The firm, which was founded in Rothesay in the mid-1990s, recently announced it was opening in Glasgow after expanding its contract to provide sales and service support to satellite broadcaster Sky.

Most of the 800 or so workers will transfer from rival contact centre operator Response. However, HEROtsc yesterday said that its headcount at the three-floor site, in the city’s financial district, was set to grow to about 900.

Chief executive David Turner said: “I am delighted that we have managed to get this site up and running just a month after we announced we were coming here. It is a fantastic achievement to have 800 staff working here so quickly.

“We are now actively recruiting to add another 100 or so staff in the next six to eight weeks.”
