Edinburgh airport seals its first IT contract
Edinburgh airport: First IT contract secured
Edinburgh airport has outsourced some of its “mission critical” IT work for the first time, hiring Onyx Group on a five-year contract understood to be worth around £3 million.
Onyx, which is headquartered in Stockton-on-Tees, will operate and manage the IT infrastructure, acting as an extension of the airport’s own IT team.
Onyx chief executive Neil Stephenson said the contract was the firm’s first in the aviation market.
He added: “Scotland has been key to our growth strategy and it remains central to our plans as we continue to expand our Scotland-based clients across a range of industries.”
The two firms did not release a figure for the contract but it is thought to be about £3m over the period.
