Clinton tipped to join Oracle board
IS HE or is isn’t he? Former US President Bill Clinton will address a convention being held by software giant Oracle in New Orleans tomorrow amid continuing speculation that he could become a board director.
The world’s second largest software company has been unable to dispel the rumour. Oracle chief executive Larry Ellison courts controversy. Last week he said companies would be better buying all their software from Oracle than mixing products sold by rivals and integrated by firms such as IBM. The latter said independent research showed companies running IBM’s DB2 database have a lower total cost of ownership than those using Oracle technology.
