Swip launches new bond fund
SCOTTISH Widows Investment Partnership (Swip) yesterday launched a bond fund aimed at retail investors through discretionary fund managers.
Swip's Strategic Bond Fund, managed by Roger Webb and Luke Hickmore, will offer access to government bonds, investment grade, high-yield and cash markets. Lloyds Bank-owned Swip said it was aiming for "top quartile performance".
Hickmore said: "Our experience of using bond market derivatives ensures that we can move swiftly to put risk on in targeted areas or indeed to hedge risk."
