Survey reveals dent in housing market recovery
THE housing market recovery is under threat as interest from buyers and sellers in Scotland drops off.
According to the monthly market survey from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors the number of surveyors in Scotland reporting a rise in inquiries from buyers and sellers declined in October.
Today's report shows 32 per cent more surveyors logged a climb in new seller instructions than reported a fall, down from 50 per cent the previous month, while 51 per cent recorded increased buyer interest than saw less, compared with 55 per cent in September.
The report also reveals 16 per cent of Scottish surveyors have seen house prices rise in the past three months, less than half the number who said prices had risen in the three months to August.
