Sugar praises Government handling of crisis
SIR Alan Sugar has praised the Government's handling of the world economic crisis, describing society's previous spending habits as a "mad financial Disneyworld".
Speaking at the Going Global business conference in Harrogate, he said the Government had been "superb" in tackling the global downturn and admitted he was surprised the US Congress had failed to pass President Bush's rescue package.
The star of The Apprentice also revealed he was confident the crisis would settle down, stressing Britain was in a better position than America. He said: "The biggest issue is possibly some of the people that have debt to pay on credit cards and that sort of stuff.
"It's all part of the mad financial Disneyworld we've been living in."
