Sir Tom sets sights on a £1bn plus deal
SIR TOM HUNTER has admitted he is "actively looking" for a major retail or property investment opportunity and would be keen to pull off a deal soon.
The retail tycoon, Scotland's richest man, said that any deal could be worth more than 1 billion.
Sir Tom said: "The desire is there to do a big one relatively soon, if the deal is right."
If a deal worth more than 1bn happened, it would be a departure from the previous focus on small investments.
"We are only focused on large scale investments now," said a spokesman for Sir Tom.
