Scottish Enterprise aids life science firms

SCOTTISH Enterprise has launched a new service for life science companies in Scotland.

Delivered by Glasgow-based firm Targeting Innovation under the Life Sciences Scotland banner, the service will help companies to identify areas in which they can grow and collaborate with other businesses and organisations.

Rhona Allison, director of life sciences at Scottish Enterprise, said: "The service will connect companies with a range of expert contacts including specialist product designers, prototype manufacturers and regulatory advisers.

"The project aims to identify and support key opportunities for growth and is expected to make a significant contribution to the continued success of the life sciences sector in Scotland."

George Boag, chief executive of Target Innovation, said: "As befits the Scottish life sciences community, our approach will be highly collegiate."

Target Innovation has also won a contract to help businesses in the Borders and Dumfries and Galloway to collaborate with other businesses.
