Window company to invest as sales increase

Supaseal Glass, a double glazing company run by a veteran of the business is investing £200,000 to increase production capacity at its Hillington base by more than 50% after growing sales by a fifth over the past year against a tough backdrop (Scotsman).

Outlook cool for City Refrigeration despite strong growth in profits

ENTREPRENEUR Sir Willie Haughey’s business empire remained in rude health last year as turnover and profits rose across the board at City Refrigeration Holdings. But the company cautioned that a slowdown in the number of construction and refrigeration installation projects expected in 2012 might put it on a cost-cutting drive in an effort to retain its margins (Scotsman).

McPhee aims to boost mixer sales with new exports

A SCOTTISH company hopes to record a 20% increase in sales and begin exporting its new range of cement mixers. McPhee Mixers has incorporated five design features into the vehicles which are custom-built at its plant in Blantyre, South Lanarkshire (Herald).
