Rok builds BAA ties with work worth £130m
BUILDING and maintenance services group Rok is set to work on a series of projects for airport operator BAA that could be worth £130 million in total.
Rok said the five-year framework agreement with BAA would cover improvement projects valued at between 2m and 20m. It comes on the back of a long-term agreement Rok already has in place with BAA for smaller improvement works.
The latest deal will cover alterations, refurbishments and building work in service areas and public spaces at Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted and Southampton airports.
Garvis Snook, chief executive of Rok, which has expanded its presence in Scotland after buying the construction arm of Inverness-based Tulloch in 2006, said: "We are extremely proud of the work we have done for BAA to date. BAA sets extremely high standards for its suppliers and we are pleased that we are able to meet and often exceed these. It is great news that our work has been extended."
