Robert Wiseman appoints company secretary

ROBERT Wiseman Dairies yesterday named Maureen Burnside, a partner at "big four" Scottish law firm Maclay Murray & Spens, as its company secretary.

Burnside, who has been with the legal practice for the past 22 years, will act as a consultant to MMS until September.

A spokesman for Wiseman said Burnside had advised the firm since 1988 and had helped it to float in 1994.

MMS chief executive Magnus Swanson said: "Maureen is a talented lawyer and we are very sorry to see her go. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Wiseman."
