Virgin deal for Woolies arm
THE entertainment wholesale arm of Woolworths has scooped a three-year contract with Virgin Retail to supply music, DVDs, games and books.
Woolies said the contract would push the turnover of its subsidiary, EUK, above 1.2 billion per year.
The deal comes just a year after EUK announced it had lost a key contract with Tesco and would cease to supply the supermarket from part-way through this year.
Some Virgin Retail staff will be moved to EUK as part of the deal, which will start from June 1.
