Sales rise at Ann Summers
TAKINGS are up at Ann Summers, the lingerie and sex-toy retailer. Like-for-like sales rose by ten per cent in November and it expects a similar rise this month.
The privately owned company, which has 121 stores in the UK, said its internet site has been particularly successful, with a 40 per cent rise in sales last month.
Jacqueline Gold, chief executive, said: "We have made it easier for women to buy sexy lingerie and sex toys."
