THE Mexican stand-off between Tom Hunter, Allders, Minerva and House of Fraser took a new turn yesterday as Hunter issued a Stock Exchange statement which said he may or may not make a bid for Allders.
Despite this, Allders share price remained unchanged at 166.5p, compared with Minerva’s agreed takeover bid for the group of 160p-per-share.
House of Fraser’s shares were becalmed at 83p ahead of a trading statement later this week, compared with Hunter’s rebuffed 85p-per-share offer .
