Backing for fertility firm

Envestors, the growth capital business owned by Perth-based Braveheart Investment, has taken part in a £1.2 million equity fundraising for a fertility company.

A number of members of Envestors, which operates a network of private investors looking to back companies, have supported the funding for Fertility Focus which specialises in fertility diagnosis and treatment.

Envestors had also contributed to an earlier fundraising round of £500,000 for the company in November.

Fertility Focus, which is based in the West Midlands, recently launched a fertility monitor that identifies and predicts a woman’s fertile period to help couples trying to conceive.

The investment round is aimed at helping the company secure approval for the product to be used in the US.
