Allders claims 7.5% backing for Minerva bid
DEPARTMENT store chain Allders said 7.5 per cent of its shareholders have backed a £132 million takeover deal from property group Minerva.
The group is also being stalked by Scots entrepreneur Tom Hunter, who revealed last week that his 8 per cent stake had been built up with a view to mounting a rival bid.
But Minerva already owns 26.2 per cent of Allders. Shares in Allders closed flat at 163.5p - slightly ahead of Minerva’s 160p per share bid price.
