Pru boss could get bonus of £4.3m
The chief executive of insurer Prudential could be awarded a bonus worth up to £4.3 million this week, it was reported yesterday.
The group is expected to post operating profits of 1.7 billion, up 20 per cent from 1.4bn, in its annual results on Wednesday which would trigger the giant payout for boss Tidjane Thiam.
The board has discretion over elements of Thiam's bonus, but 80 per cent of the sum is determined by financial targets. The pay deal entitles him to an annual bonus worth up to 180 per cent of his 900,000 salary.
