Female gamblers are less inhibited online

WOMEN are less risk averse then men when placing bets online – forking out an average of 18 per cent more on an average flutter.

The number of women betting during the past year has risen by a fifth, according to gambling site RoxyPalace.com

A spokesman said a general rise in the games on offer through internet gambling had attracted more women.

He said: “Gambling has always had a male heavy image, especially in brick and mortar casinos. However, over the past few years we’ve noticed a surge in the number of women playing games.”
