Omega upbeat as profits rise by 22%
OMEGA Diagnostics, a Scots medical group that was the subject of a takeover approach last month, yesterday reported stronger half-year figures.
The firm, based in Alva, Clackmannanshire, which raised 1 million through a share placement in September to fund the acquisition of Devon-based Co-Tek, said underlying pre-tax profits rose 22 per cent to 263,000 in the six months to the end of September. Revenues lifted 9 per cent to 2.87m, with growth being seen in most of the regions in which the company operates.
Chairman David Evans said: "The medium to long-term prospects for the company remain bright and we continue to examine opportunities for both organic and acquisitive growth."
