More gloom is the order of the day
Some two-thirds of Scotland's finance chiefs expect that things will get worse before they get better or that growth will be at best negligible through to the middle of next year.
A survey of 140 finance director members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland by CA Magazine found that attempts to plan ahead were being thwarted by "the threat of shorter-term instability".
