Microsoft's O'Hare to chair IoD Scotland
RAYMOND O'Hare, the director of Microsoft in Scotland has been appointed chairman of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Scotland. O'Hare succeeds Andy Sturgess – a partner at Pricewaterhouse-Coopers – who had served in the role for three years.
David Watt, the executive director of IoD Scotland, said: "We are delighted to have someone with Raymond's stature, experience and enthusiasm taking on this role. It is a testament to the credentials of the IoD in Scotland that we have a key executive from the world's biggest corporation as our chairman."
O'Hare has spent the last 26 years working in the IT industry in both Ireland and Scotland.
