Skyscanner to open in Glasgow

SCOTTISH travel search site Skyscanner yesterday opened a satellite office in Glasgow and is now looking to fill 100 newly-created jobs in the city and at its head office in Edinburgh.

The company, which first unveiled its expansion plans in October, is looking for web developers, marketing managers and IT services specialists to support its rapid growth.

The firm has more than 150 staff at its Quartermile head office in the capital and 30 in Beijing and Singapore.

Revenues rose more than 40 per cent year-on-year as result of growth in its Asian markets.

Cathy Wilson, talent director, said: “The new Glasgow office allows us to offer even more employment opportunities in Scotland.”
