Scott to study eTourism links
THE convenor of the Scottish Parliament's economy, energy and enterprise committee, Tavish Scott, has pledged to use committee time to examine the relationship between the state body VisitScotland and eTourism Ltd.
the largely private company that runs the tourism website VistScotland.com. Scott said that it was "difficult to square the circle" of state support for a private body and said that "this is something we intend to look at more closely". The matter is to be raised at a tourism industry meeting convened by enterprise minister Jim Mather today.
