Jason Allardyce is named Scottish Journalist of the Year
SCOTLAND on Sunday’s Jason Allardyce scooped the coveted prize for Scottish journalist of the year at last week’s Scottish Press Awards.
Allardyce, this newspaper’s political editor, also won the BAA Scottish Airports political journalist of the year title for the second year running at the ceremony in Glasgow.
The judges said: "His well-rounded political knowledge, his contacts and his acute news sense ensure that he not only understands the system and the issues, but he reports them with accuracy and great authority."
