Google's ads earnings soar
INTERNET giant Google has overtaken Channel 4 to become the second-biggest advertising earner in the UK - and looks set to beat ITV to the top spot within two years.
The firm's UK advertising revenues soared by 83 per cent to 821 million in the past year, surpassing Channel 4 at 775m and behind ITV at 1.63m.
Overall, the group saw total ad revenues hit 10.6 billion - with around 6bn coming from the US.
