Cammiade ends 35-year Johnston Press career
Johnston Press, publisher of The Scotsman, Scotland on Sunday and Edinburgh Evening News, yesterday announced that chief operating officer Danny Cammiade is to leave the company. Cammiade, an executive director of the company since 2005, will leave at the end of March after 35 years service.
Johnston Press chairman Ian Russell said: “Danny has been an integral part of the executive management team and a main board director for many years and has made an immense contribution to the company.”
In 2011 Cammiade received a total pay package, including performance-related bonus, of £802,000, up from £660,000 the previous year. Johnston Press also yesterday announced a restructuring that will see its regional publishing unit managing directors now reporting to group commercial director Neil Jones. Shares closed unchanged at 14.75p.
