Marks & Clerk on a whole new footing

MARKS & Clerk, the patent and trade mark firm, yesterday announced it had converted from a traditional partnership structure to become a limited liability partnership (LLP).

Keith Hodkinson, chairman of Marks & Clerk, said: "A more contemporary corporate structure reflects the nature and increasing size of the firm following this period of growth. The conversion to LLP status will not affect our day-to-day client relationships in any way."

Marks & Clerk was founded by Glaswegian Sir Dugald Clerk and George Marks in 1888. The firm has 19 offices in Europe, Asia and North America.
