TV funding: Editworks expands Scottish operations

A TELEVISION editing firm that has been involved in producing shows including Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas, Eggheads, The National Lottery In It To Win It and The Sarah Millican TV Show , pictured, is to invest £200,000 in expanding its Scottish operations after receiving a £68,000 government grant.

Editworks is creating eight jobs at its base in Glasgow, where it already employs five members of staff. The latest round of funding – which includes a regional selective assistance grant from Scottish Enterprise takes the total invested by the company in its Scottish operations to £600,000 since its base at the Hub opened in 2010.

Andrew Barrett, chairman of Editworks Scotland, said: “We see Scotland, and specifically Glasgow and its digital media quarter, as a superb place to house our operations thanks to the facilities, culture and opportunities that Scotland’s broadcast sector offers.”
