‘Significant’ contract for Wood Group
ENERGY services firm Wood Group hailed a “significant” contract win from oil producer Apache covering subsea engineering work in the North Sea, including operations in the giant Forties field.
The Aberdeen-based firm said the $7.5 million (£4.8m) deal with Apache will run for three years but could be extended.
The agreement covers all of Apache’s North Sea assets, including the Forties complex and the recently-acquired Beryl complex. JP Kenny, the Wood Group division that won the contract, has in place a “dedicated core team to support the various Apache projects”.
Bob MacDonald, operations director for JP Kenny, said: “This is a significant contract and we are excited to actively support Apache with its ongoing operations.”
