Scottish Friendly rack up £500,000 sales

ONLINE sales at Scottish Friendly broke through the £500,000 barrier for the first time in October after parents stocked up on investments for their children.

Jim Gall, e-commerce marketing manager at the 150-year-old building society, said: “Our web sales figures for October this year were double what they were in October 2011.

“The growth in online sales proves that, despite the fragile economy, there is still demand.”
