Co-op to buy 632 Lloyds bank branches
The Co-operative Group has agreed terms with Lloyds Banking Group to buy 632 Lloyds TSB and Cheltenham and Gloucester branches. The Co-op will pay £350m upfront and up to an additional £400m based on the performance of the combined business. (BBC)

Optos raises production as Daytona orders defy earlier fears
EYE scanner maker Optos is ramping up production of its new Daytona desk-top device to cope with early demand for the product. The Dunfermline-based company, which makes machines for taking pictures of the back of patients’ eyes, will formally launch Daytona on 1 October. (Scotsman)
