Scots caterers Heritage Portfolio win Royal Warrant
CATERING firm Heritage Portfolio, which provides food and drink at prestigious events such as the annual royal garden party, has been granted the Royal Warrant by the Queen.
The Edinburgh-based company, which has worked with the Palace of Holyrood House since 2002, is the only Scottish company with a warrant for catering services.
Executive director Ian D’Annunzio-Green said: “It is a fantastic achievement and we are immensely proud. Our ethos has always been about setting the highest possible standard in catering and hospitality and it is wonderful to be recognised in such a special way. As one of only a handful of caterers to hold this honour, I am sure it will enhance our reputation for outstanding quality and attention to detail.”
Established in 2002, Heritage Portfolio recently celebrated its tenth birthday by signing long-term partnerships with Hopetoun House, Lennoxlove House, and Mansfield Traquair. It caters for parties, weddings and corporate events.
Royal Warrants of appointment are a mark of recognition of those who have supplied goods or services for at least five years to the households of the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh or the Prince of Wales.
There are currently around 800 Royal Warrant holders, ranging from traditional craftsmen and women to global multinationals. Such warrants date back charters granted to guilds and tradesmen in medieval times but were popularised in their current form by Queen Victoria who along with her family granted more than 1,000.
