Santander cash for social enterprises

Nine Scottish social enterprises will share a total of £285,000 from Santander bank, which runs an award scheme to help such groups grow.

Winners include East Burnside’s Castle Enterprise Scotland, Edinburgh Community Food and Fallin Community Enterprises, which will use its £50,000 prize to extend its “Recyke a Bike” project in Falkirk.

Santander regional director Graham Silcock said: “They are very deserving of our investment in their businesses and we’re looking forward to supporting their future growth.”
