Pinsents signs D&W stalwart

A LAWYER who advised on the administration of Irish investor Tim Hegarty’s £500 million property firm WG Mitchell and on the collapse of Scottish airline Flyglobespan has defected from Dundas & Wilson to Pinsent Masons.

Restructuring specialist Claire Massie is the most senior appointment to be made by Pinsent Masons since the international law firm took over Glasgow-based McGrigors last year.

Kirk Murdoch, chairman of Pinsent Masons’ Scotland and Northern Ireland operations, said: “Claire is a highly-regarded restructuring specialist in the Scottish legal market and her appointment is a real coup for us.”

Her departure comes just weeks after three partners left Dundas & Wilson’s London office.
