SHARES in Pinnacle Technology jumped 6 per cent yesterday after the Stirlingshire-based telecoms group signed a deal with intermediary Gamma Telecom to offer customers mobile phone services via Vodafone’s network.
Alan Bonner, Pinnacle’s chief executive, said the deal will allow him to offer clients “bundles” consisting of land lines, mobile phones and IT security. Shares closed up 1p at 17.75p.
Bob Falconer, chief executive at Gamma, added: “Gamma and Pinnacle have worked well together for several years, we are therefore delighted to enter into an mobile virtual network operator agreement with Pinnacle.
“The ubiquity of mobile use, and the proliferation of smartphones in particular, coupled with Pinnacle’s broad customer base, position Pinnacle well for additional new business in the lucrative UK mobile market.”
