New appointments to boost Roselle

EVENTS manager Charlotte McIntosh has been promoted to head the firm she helped build into a £3 million turnover business.

The 30-year-old is stepping up from operations director to managing director of Roselle, an events firm with offices in Aberdeen and Edinburgh which has been organising conferences, award dinners and product launches around the UK for a decade.

The firm has also hired former Perth Racecourse sales manager Amanda Kirk. As business development manager, Kirk will have the task of expanding Roselle’s trade outside its core business with the pharmaceutical, energy and financial sectors.

McIntosh said: “We are excited to welcome Amanda to the Roselle team.”

BioCity Scotland gets back to Black

Fraser Black, former global services solutions director with GE Life Sciences, is taking over as the new managing director of BioCity Scotland.

He takes over from Ian Webster, who was acting head since the centre for life science businesses in Newhouse, Lanarkshire was launched in January.

Black joined GE in 2005 having previously held several positions at vice-president level with Amersham Bioscience.

KPMG globetrotter rolls to Edinburgh

Globetrotter Alex Sanderson is adding Scotland to the list of locations where he has practiced accountancy as KPMG strengthens its audit offering here. Sanderson is moving from the firm’s Gatwick office to head the audit practice in Scotland, replacing Lorraine Bennett, who is due to take up a post with KPMG’s outsourcing operations in India.

In 26 years with the company, Sanderson has worked in locations including London, Tokyo, Barcelona and North and South America. Previous roles include leading the firm’s telecoms sector team.
