Iomart has no question over deal

WEBSITE hosting firm Iomart yesterday signed a “six-figure contract” with Questionmark, which provides examinations, quizzes and tests for more than 1,500 companies, education bodies and governments.

The Glasgow-based firm will host Questionmark’s “cloud computing” system at its data centre in London.

Cloud computing allows data and software to be stored on centralised servers that can be accessed from any computer in the world with an internet connection, rather than keeping information on stand-alone terminals.

Shares in Aim-quoted Iomart – which also lists BT, the London School of Economics and transport group Stagecoach among its clients – dipped 1.5p to close at 146p, a fall of just over 1 per cent.
