Friends are business spur according to report

THE next generation of business leaders are more likely to launch a company with a group of friends than be inspired by TV entrepreneurs, according to a new report.

A survey of more than 1,000 young people by the Co-op also found that more than one in three did not understand business or how to start a venture.

There has been a near 10 per cent increase in the number of co-operatives over the last two years. The Co-operative Enterprise Hub has helped more than 1,000 community-owned enterprises to get off the ground.
