Former radio presenter appointed to Glasgow Chamber of Commerce

A FORMER presenter from Fred MacAulay’s BBC Radio Scotland show has been appointed to the new role of projects director at Glasgow Chamber of Commerce.

Alison McRae – who joins from Destination Liverpool, where she was a director – is charged with “maximising the impact of the chamber and its members on the future development of the city”.

Stuart Patrick, the chamber’s chief executive, said: “We have all sorts of theoretical notions about what we could do, but the projects director will turn them into action.

“One example could be how we work with our members to ensure that Glasgow is known to be ‘open for business’.”

McRae presented the Wealth Creators series for BBC Radio Scotland and also co-presented MacAulay & Co.
